New for 2014:

There will be some changes to the meetings for LLL Bristol in 2014.

There will be a final ‘Series Meeting’, for mothers with younger babies, on 9 January 2014 at 53 Zetland Rd.

From February meetings will stay on the same day and time – the 2^nd Thursday of every month at 10.30am to 12pm - but the venue and focus of meetings will change. 

Meetings will be held in Bradley Stoke and will be concentrating on the issues that arise for mothers of breastfeeding toddlers. Of course mothers with younger babies are welcome to attend as well.

Information will now appear here instead of via the e-letter yahoo group, which will be closing.


Finally, a reminder that if you would like to become a member of La Leche League and have not yet joined, the New Year is a great time to sign up. During January you get 15 months of membership for the usual 12 month cost. More information our membership pages.

Holding on to hope

On Thursday 14 November everyone is very welcome to come to a meeting at April's house called 'Holding on to hope: you're not alone' about getting through those difficult patches in breastfeeding. This is part of the 'Series Meetings' and focuses on the early months, but mothers of all breastfed babies are very welcome. For address and more info see the 'Meetings, Locations...' tab

Toddler meeting, Thurs 24 Oct

There will be a Toddler Meeting this Thursday 24 October at Jenny's house from 10.30 - 11.30 am. Everyone is welcome, especially those who are feeding beyond the baby stages. See 'Meetings, dates times and info' tab for address and more info.

The next LLL meeting will be on Thursday 12 September at 53 Zetland Rd from 10.15am to 12pm entitled 'Decisions: preparing to breastfeed'.

Everybody is welcome to attend a Coffee Morning at Jenny's house on Thurs 27 June at 36 Watch Elm Close, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 8AN.

The next Series Meeting (meeting with a topic to discuss) will be on Thursday 11 July. We'll be discussing 'Sleep: facts, myths and resources'. It will be at 53 Zetland Rd, Redland, BS6 7AJ.

Really sorry everyone, but we've had to cancel the meeting tomorrow, Thurs 9 May, as April is ill.

Huge apologies for the late notice. You can always ring a leader on one of the numbers (left) if you have a breastfeeding concern.

May meeting

The May La Leche League meet up in Bristol will be held on this Thursday 9 May from 10.15am - 12pm at 53 Zetland Rd, Redland, BS6 7AJ. April will be leading the meeting entitled 'Breastmilk - more than just food'.

All breastfeeding mothers and their children are welcome to attend. The meeting is free, although donations are very welcome! The discussion will start at 10.30am and afterwards there will be time for any other questions you may have. Snacks to share are always much appreciated, but don't worry if you don't have anything to bring with you. There will be tea and a snack for mums and some toys for children.

Coffee Mornings starting again

As several of you have been asking about whether the Coffee Mornings will be starting up again, you'll be pleased to hear that Jenny has decided to host them at her house in Bradley Stoke.

Coffee Mornings are a chance for mums and babies to get together. There is no set discussion topic but there will be either a LLL Leader or experienced mums present to ask about any queries as well as LLL information sheets.

All breastfeeding women and their children are welcome to come along. Coffee Mornings, like other meetings, are free - although donations are always welcome. If you can bring some food or drink to share, it would be much appreciated.

Coffee Mornings will be held on Thursday 28 Feb, Thursday 21 March and Thursday 25 April from 10.15am to 12pm at 36 Watch Elm Close, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 8AN.
